Ground Floor & Gardens

Upon entering the property, guests can conveniently leave their coats and boots in the entrance porch before stepping into the spacious farmhouse kitchen. This charming kitchen features an open fire and weathered flagstone flooring, creating a cozy and rustic atmosphere.

Designed to accommodate large groups, the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, two fridge/freezers, and a large Range cooker. The dining table is thoughtfully placed at the far end of the kitchen, allowing for a lovely open-plan feel.

Connected to the kitchen/diner are two generously sized sitting rooms, which are separated by a beautiful, heavy curtain. This allows guests to have their own space - some may choose to watch TV while others can relax with a book by the wood-burning stove.

On the ground floor, there is a king-size bedroom with zip and link beds, providing flexibility to easily convert it into a twin room if needed. The adjoining en-suite shower room makes this bedroom an ideal choice for guests with mobility issues.

The conservatory overlooks the enclosed garden to the front of the property and has a stunning ocean view; families with children can enjoy watching the children outside from the warmth and comfort of the conservatory, a big attraction when the wind blows!

The spacious garden at Merlins Cottage offers a stunning view of the sea and has been recently enclosed to ensure the safety of pets. A charming wooden picket fence secures the front of the garden, while the rest of the boundaries are discreetly fenced with mesh wire within the hedges, preventing pets from wandering onto the road or into neighboring gardens.

Sleeping Spaces

Heading upstairs, you will find three generously sized bedrooms; a double with en-suite bath and shower and two further doubles with a shared shower room, one of which can be a twin bedroom upon request.

A great deal of care and attention has gone into creating maximum comfort in each room; the mattresses are of extremely high quality and the linen is all Egyptian Cotton of the highest thread count and sourced from The White Company.
